<div><span style="color:#008000;">As part of a 3-year program under the U.S.-China Climate Change Working Group, Hubbard Brook scientists traveled to Pingxiang City, Guangxi Province, in October to exchange information about policy and t<span>echnology for climate change and forests</span>. In addition to the Hubbard Brook participants, the workshop convened representatives from the Santee Experimental Forest, Chinese forest pilot sites, policy experts, managers, and scientists from the Chinese State Forestry Administration, the Chinese Academy of Forestry, and the U.S. Forest Service. The discussion focused on international and domestic policies for climate mitigation and adaptation. Participants shared research and decision support tools for land managers and visited the Experimental Center of Tropical Forestry. They learned about site-specific forestry and climate research and identified common interests for future cooperative activities. </span></div>
