 a postdoctoral fellow to join a collaborative research effort to generate and use DNA sequence data of tree communities in large forest census plots to address broad evolutionary, taxonomic and ecological questions. The successful candidate will work with
 Dr. David Kenfack and Dr. Stuart Davies to synthesize existing DNA sequence data and where necessary develop new DNA sequence data of tree species from across the CTFS-ForestGEO network of plots. The candidate will use these data to address questions on the
 ecology and evolution of tree communities. Projects might include: studies of trait evolution and coexistence of hyper-diverse genera, tests of species boundaries and cryptic species, community-level studies of functional and phylogenetic diversity, and exploration
 of the links between phylogenetic diversity and ecosystem function.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
