Is that what you want or would you prefer a more 2D illustration without the cut section?</div><div><br></div><div>I found the following descriptions of the different forest types. Please let me know if these are correct, and if there are any characteristics you could add that would be helpful when illustrating:</div><div><b>Elfin forest</b>: Dwarf forest, shorter trees, blend into stunted vegetation.<br></div><div><b>Tabonuco forest</b>: Tall trees, straight trunks, 1st branches high above ground. I also did a Google Earth snapshot that is focused on the watershed we work on, but it doesn't capture the 3D aspect of things I would like. If you google "watershed" you get a bunch of nice diagrams that capture the basic elements, which you could then "overlay" the specifics of our ecosystem.</div><div><br></div><div>Does this help at all? I am really out of my element here.</div><div><br></div><div>I have been meaning to take a photo of a view I get of the mountains as I drive to work that captures much of what we want to depict. Will try to remember to stop and take the photo on my way to the airport tomorrow.
