P<span style="color: rgb(55, 55, 55); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" class="">articipants will be provided with a comprehensive and affordable introduction to the major aspects of field-based environmental data acquisition with an emphasis on hands-on learning.</span><span style="color: rgb(55, 55, 55); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" class=""> </span>By using a combination of field demonstrations, lectures, hands-on activities, and discussions, we will cover several topics fundamental to the remote acquisition of environmental sensor data:</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span><i class="">Basic electronics<br class=""><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Photovoltaic power for remote instrumentation<br class=""><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>TCP/IP networking and Wi-Fi telemetry systems<br class=""></i><div class="" style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;"><i class=""><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Sensor theory and Campbell Scientific datalogger wiring and programming</i></div></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" class=""><font color="#373737" class="">This year’s course will cost $750, which covers lodging, meals, and shuttle service to/from the Albuquerque airport.
