</span></span><![endif]>We are starting to consider where the administrative function for the NIMO operation might be hosted. We have looked at partnering with a non-profit, but it also makes sense for us to consider existing institutions that host LTER sites.
If you think your home institution (not your site per se) would be interested, please explore that idea prior to Sunday and be prepared to voice your interest at the meeting. Things to consider, 1) we hope to minimize overhead, so your institution would have
to be prepared to run at off-site rates (<30%) to compare with the non-profits we have been looking at, and 2) someone with the relevant skills would need to be the PI on the cooperative agreement. If that would not be you, who would it be?<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><![if !supportLists]><span style="mso-list:Ignore">3.<span style="font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"">
</span></span><![endif]>On the Wednesday (9/2, session 7, Longs Peak Diamond West) we have a group session planned to collect scientist input regarding what services NIMO might offer and how the scientists would like to interact with a new organization. This
will only be successful if we get some scientists in the room, so please encourage your colleagues to attend and take part in the discussion.<o:p></o:p></p>
