
<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;" class=""><div class="">Hi Grad students,</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">You hopefully received communication recently from Gary Lovett (and maybe your PI) recently regarding the LTER mid-term review. If not, the LTER mid-term review is coming up next week! This is a great chance to meet with other scientists and help the evaluating committee understand how HBR researchers conduct their work and participate in the wider LTER community. The schedule is attached. If you’re able, please plan to attend <b class="">Monday and Tuesday morning sessions and lunches, Tuesday afternoon meeting with the review committee, dinner Monday night, and the Tuesday afternoon General Discussion session</b>. On Tuesday afternoon, graduate students are encouraged to present a poster on their work and be available for communication to the committee. If you haven’t signed up for any of these and would like to participate, contact me. Your field crews and any undergrad collaborators are welcome to attend project dinner Monday evening, just send a rough head count if you haven’t already. The review committee will likely be wanting to gauge your awareness of how your project is funded, and what your experience with HBR communication is, so keep that in mind.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><b class="">TL;DR, please be available Tuesday afternoon 2:30-4:00 pm to meet with the review committee, regardless of if you have a poster to present! The Hubbard Brook community could really use your input and presence.</b></div><div class=""><b class=""><br class=""></b></div><div class="">TL;DR but want food: The free meal for everyone is Monday evening. Free meals for grad students only include Monday lunch and Tuesday lunch.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Jenny</div><div class=""><div class="" style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"></div><div class="" style="margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"></div></div></body></html>
