Discussion: plan for presentation to the Executive Board next week (Jan 21). General idea is to describe the function of the communications committee as a workshop space for network-wide or site-based communications efforts, and possibly talk about the Ecosphere

 project and AISL proposal. Marty has also suggested that we provide a brief history of the committee, since many of the current EB members are relatively new PIs.  We might also ask for suggestions on getting broader participation on the committee.
