Tim and Jarrett are updating the figures to match better for size, and Tim is updating the PREDICTS figures so that the categories for rare/dom in PREDICTS match the NutNet cutoffs for those groups. We are ready for a group call for at least the core group (Tim, Charlie, Jarrett, Laura,Yann, Kim, Jane). Contact Laura if you would like to be on the call.</div><div class=""><b class=""><br class=""></b></div><div class=""><b class="">BEF causality review led by Laura Dee</b></div><div class="">From Laura: I could use help on the Cedar Creek data to make sure I know what is going on with the data before analyzing it. Please reach out if you can help me with this. No other updates at this time but please reach out if you would like to help me push this along with revisions of sections of this text.</div><div class=""><b class=""><br class=""></b></div><div class=""><b class="">NutNet BEF causality analysis led by Laura Dee</b></div><div class="">From Laura: I circulated a draft to core subteam, got some feedback, and updated analyses in response. I am now revising the text. Figures/Tables are mostly done. I forget who was interested in being looped into this paper beyond NutNet folks, Jane & Michel. If I've missed you, I'm sorry - there is a lot to keep track of w/ working with NutNet too, please reach out and let me know how you'd like to contribute ASAP since this paper is far along.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><b class="">Global Change Drivers, Coexistence mechanisms, and Scaling BEF led by Jane Cowles</b></div><div class="">No update at this time.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><div class=""><b class="">Consequences of nonrandom species loss in BioCON led by Jane Cowles</b></div><div class="">No update at this time.</div></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><b class="">Quantifying performance-enhancing insurance effects led by Forest Isbell</b></div><div class="">From Forest: Waiting to determine whether there should first be a separate manuscript presenting the main results of the tree diversity experiments. Also, working with Shaopeng Wang to determine whether there might be a simpler version of the partition that could also be applied to these data. This is an opt-out paper. Although it is not moving as quickly as I would like, I do promise to finish it and to include anyone who would like to collaborate.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><div class=""><b class="">Global survey/maps</b></div><div class="">From Forest: I have created and distributed a survey. We received more than 2,700 responses from researchers working in more than 188 countries. Unsurprisingly, that also involved responding to more than a thousand emails. We are now having scientific societies invite members to complete the survey. Several collaborators, including Akira, are translating the invitation into other languages and contacting ecological societies in their home countries. Many of you have already chosen to opt-in to this project. To check whether you have already opted-in, or to opt-in now, please visit the spreadsheet at the link above and make sure your name is included in the opt-in list for this project. Next steps: finish gathering data and make figures.</div></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><b class="">Drivers of stability across spatial scales led by Yann Hautier</b></div><div class=""><span class="" style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">No update at this time.</span></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><b class="">Global drivers of biodiversity loss (N) led by Yann Hautier</b></div><div class="">No update at this time.</div><div class=""><b class=""><br class=""></b></div><div class=""><b class="">SAR, EAR, and BEF led by Akira Mori</b></div><div class="">From Akira: A close-to-final draft has been circulated to contributors in this subgroup.
