I don’t think IPBES has any arrows between biodiversity and ecosystem functioning, though because biodiversity and ecosystems are both lumped together into a single box called ’Nature’ in the IPBES conceptual framework. The issue, at least as I see it, is that this obscures the dependence of ecosystem functioning and services on biodiversity.
