is an interdisciplinary team of investigators from seven major universities and three federal agencies conducting research at the USDA Jornada Experimental Range and the NMSU Chihuahuan Desert Rangeland Research Center near Las Cruces, NM, USA. The goals of
the Jornada LTER are to understand and quantify the mechanisms that generate alternative states in dryland ecosystems, and to predict future states and their consequences for the provisioning of ecosystem services.</span><br></p>
